Chiron Sport Les Légendes du Ciel glorifies pilots of both sky and land
Bugatti’s latest limited Chiron edition pays homage to the famous 20th century airplane pilots, coming out in a run of 20 units priced at €2,880,000 each.
Bugatti pilots of the past used to fly planes in addition to driving cars, and the fact is reflected in the numerous references throughout the body and interior of the Chiron. For instance, the livery mimics those of the 1920s-era planes, with a white stripe running along the body. The radiator grille evokes images of fighter jets lining up in the sky during war parades.
Thin brown leather covers the interior in the same manner it used to line cockpits of retro aircrafts, and there are decorative carbon fiber and aluminum details in view. The doors wear the image of a Bugatti Type 13 trying to outrace the Nieuport 17 biplane.
Powering the series is the company’s signature W16 rated at 1,500 PS (1,479 hp / 1,103 kW) and 1,600 Nm (1,180 lb-ft) of torque.
