Video: Mercedes testing the EQC 4x4² in water

Mercedes-Benz has shared a new video showcasing the capabilities of its newest all-electric SUV, the EQC 4x4². The pre-production car was running tests on flooded terrain.
The video follows the off-roader as it navigates through a rocky area and then skirts a lake. Its huge 20-inch wheels disappear under the water surface almost completely, but this has no effect on its sturdy portal axles and powertrain. With 293 millimeters (11.5 inches) of ground clearance, the company claims the car can wade water as high as 400 mm (15.6 inches).
The test vehicle uses dual electric motors jointly rated at 408 PS (402 hp / 300 kW) and 762 Nm (562 lb-ft) of torque, linked to an 80-kWh traction battery.
